The couple strongly pressures Daikichi, Tsubaki's father-in-law, to repay the money he lent her. Daikichi denies the matter, and Tsubaki gets angry, so she decides to walk home to her lodgings by herself. However, on the way, Tsubaki is attacked and raped by some unknown men. Then the men leave, and Daikichi appears before Tsubaki, naked and tied up, unable to move.
